Kentucky NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Ryan Blaney – Happy with his car. Said it’s pretty good and had good speed off of the truck. His practice average speed ranked as the best. Many people in the garage thought he had the best car this session.
Ty Dillon – During his opening run he said, “Entry feels secure but my middle is tight. The exit is pretty good.” 20 minutes into practice while he was 23rd he said, “That gives me the feeling I want on the exit but it makes the entry and middle tighter.” 35 minutes into practice he said, “Tight in the middle is my biggest problem.” During his final run while hew as 25th he said, “It’s still so tight. It won’t turn through the center of the corner.”

Kyle Busch – Started with a ten lap run and had really good speed. His tenth lap was quicker than Bowyer’s who started with a similar long run. 40 minutes into practice while he was 2nd he said his car was tight all the way around. His average speed for the session ranked as the 7th best.
Austin Dillon – Early in practice he said turns 1 and 2 were really good. In turns 3 and 4 he was free. At that time he was 15th after running 8 laps.
Alex Bowman – Early in practice he said his car is “really tight center off.” During his second run while he was 11th he said his car feels better but he’s tight off of turn 4. 40 minutes into practice while he was 22nd he said his car has improved getting into turns 1 and 2. Said he’s still tight off in turns 3 and 4.
