Michigan NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Chase Elliott – Early in practice he lost traction off turn 4 and spun down the front straightaway and got into the grass. He didn’t hit anything. 50 minutes into practice while he was 18th he said, “still on the free side, but it’s OK.”
Kevin Harvick – Very fast. Has a great car this weekend. Had good long run speed. 40 minutes into practice his crew chief said, “The times look pretty good, the fall off looks pretty good.” Late in practice his crew chief said, “You’re definitely better than the 18, he said he was plowing.”

Clint Bowyer – Early in practice his crew chief said his lap times were very competitive. He was 4th at the time. Appears to have pretty good long run speed.
William Byron – Following his first run which put him 5th he reported he’s a little tight. He likes the handling of his car on the entry to corners. Said his car seemed looser this practice.
AJ Allmendinger – Reported he’s a little tight early. In the stream it was shown that he was really loose in the corners twice. Late in practice while he was 27th he said, “I’m sorry, something don’t feel right.”
