Bristol 2 Post Practice Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
Just like the last time we were at Bristol Motor Speedway, weather is the biggest concern, as rain is expected to blanket the area for much of the day on Saturday. In fact, NASCAR has already moved Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race up an hour, and it will now start at 6:43 pm ET–or at least they hope it will. The good news is that this is a half-mile track, which lessens the amount of time needed to try it. Some more good news is that the teams were able to get in two full practice sessions on Friday along with qualifying.
Kyle Larson won the pole for the Bristol 2 race and the full starting lineup for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race can be found by clicking here. You can find the practice speeds from Friday’s two sessions here: Practice #1 – Happy Hour, and don’t forget to read our in-depth notes for those practices as well: Practice #1 – Happy Hour.

Final Top 25 Rankings for Bristol 2
1. Kyle Larson – Starts 1st – DraftKings Price: $11,400 – FanDuel Price: $12,000
**Risk Factor: Low Risk**
Kyle Larson absolutely loves Bristol Motor Speedway, and when he has a car that drives the way he wants to, he’s an absolutely contender for the win in Thunder Valley. Unfortunately it hasn’t all came together in a race for him and this #42 team, but this could finally be the weekend. Larson had one of, if not the best car here in the spring, leading a race-high 200 laps before ultimately finishing 2nd to Kyle Busch. That makes it three Bristol races in a row that he’s led at least 70 laps, and the second spring race in a row that he’s led 200+. As far as finishes go, Larson is currently on a three-race streak of top 10s at Bristol, and should make it four in a row here on Saturday night. The #42 Chevrolet was 6th-best in ten-lap average during Practice #1 on Friday and then wound up P1 on that chart in Happy Hour. Larson should lead plenty of laps here on Saturday night and contend for the win as well.
2. Kyle Busch – Starts 3rd – DraftKings Price: $12,300 – FanDuel Price: $13,500
**Risk Factor: Low-to-Medium Risk**
Kyle Busch is a master at Bristol Motor Speedway, as he has amassed seven career Cup Series wins over the course of just 26 total starts (26.9% win rate) along with 15 total top 10s. Overall, Rowdy has a career average finish of 14th at “The World’s Fastest Half Mile,” but a big reason for that is because he has had four DNFs as well as five finishes of 29th or worse in the last eight races here. Still, Kyle is the defending winner of this race and he also went to victory lane here back in April, and with the way this #18 team is running right now, it would surprise no one if Busch ended up taking the checkered flag in this year’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race as well. Rowdy had the 2nd-best ten-lap average in Practice #1 this weekend and ranked 6th on that chart in Happy Hour. About the only way Kyle Busch is going to have a bad finish on Saturday night is if he wrecks, which he did in the Xfinity race…
3. Kevin Harvick – Starts 7th – DraftKings Price: $12,000 – FanDuel Price: $13,000
**Risk Factor: Low Risk**
Kevin Harvick isn’t quite on Kyle Busch’s level here at Bristol Motor Speedway, but he’s very good and a little less risky, so it kind of evens out. “Happy” is just a two-time winner here at Thunder Valley but owns a career average finish of 13.3 over 35 career starts here (2nd-best among active drivers) and is currently on a streak of six straight finishes of 8th or better here. Going into Saturday night, I view Harvick as a solid top 5 threat, but I don’t think he’s the clear favorite like he was at Mihcigan last weekend. The #4 Ford was just 12th-best in ten-lap average in Practice #1 here on Friday and then wound up 7th-best on that chart in Happy Hour. Don’t let Harvick’s “lack” (I use that term loosely) of speed fool you this weekend: he’s got a solid car to race with on Saturday night, and he loves this track. That’s a great combination for fantasy owners.
