On lap 7, Kyle Larson got tremendously loose in the corner all by himself. It dropped him from 5th back to about 16th in a lap. He said he just got really loose.
On lap 10, Chase Elliott assumed the lead and led the next 5 laps.

On lap 25, the final lap of the Stage many cars came to pit road under green. That included Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch, Erik Jones, Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Jimmie Johnson.
- During those pit stops, Jimmie Johnson drove through too many pit boxes and had to start in the rear of the field at the start of the final Stage.
Drivers who didn’t pit during lap 25 were Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Newman, Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray.

Big Moment: With 42 laps to go Jamie McMurray crashed. This dropped McMurray a lap down. At the time of his incident he was running in 9th. Kurt Busch minutely clipped his car which caused McMurray to wreck.
With 40 laps to go under caution, Kevin Harvick thought his car was pretty good.

During the restart following the Jamie McMurray wreck, Brad Keselowski got the lead. He then led the remainder 37 laps. When he was out front nobody could get around him.
Notable Moment: With 33 laps to go Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went below the yellow line which resulted in a pass through penalty. He was running around 7th at the time.
Notable Moment: With 32 laps to go Jamie McMurray and the #1 team went to the garage and called it a race after getting damage earlier.

With 23 laps to go it was mentioned that Chase Elliott’s tires weren’t to his liking. When he made his pit stop near the end of Stage #1 he only took two tires.

With 19 laps to go Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got lapped. He was running by himself because of his penalty.
With 19 laps to go it was mentioned that Ryan Newman lost the draft. He was 7 second behind the car in front of him.

At the start of the final lap while running in 2nd, Ryan Blaney made a bad move which got him out of line and dropped him back.
Big Moment: On the final lap in the back straight away, Kyle Larson turned Jimmie Johnson who was running in 3rd which caused a multi-car wreck. Drivers collected were Johnson, Larson, Kahne, Elliott and Truex Jr.
