William Byron – Had the fastest single car speed 30 minutes into practice.
Jimmie Johnson – Had a fast car in qualifying trim. 30 minutes into practice he had the 5th fastest single car speed.
Kurt Busch – His team planned on doing three single cars runs to prepare for qualifying. Ran a lot of laps but was lacking speed (finished 34th).
Kyle Busch – Wasn’t that comfortable inside of his car early. Did some drafting practice late with his teammates.
Tyler Reddick – Early in practice he said, “Felt good out there. Just a little darty in the back but it felt as expected.” Did some drafting practice with Daniel Hemric, Brendan Gaughan and Ty Dillon. In the Daytona 400 he’s driving the #31.
