Auto Club NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Joey Logano – Jeff Gordon really liked his car. Said he had great long run speed. Had the best 20 lap average.

Aric Almirola – In a pre-Happy Hour interview he said he thought he has the best car he’s had all year this weekend. 25 minutes into practice while he was 6th he said, “We’re not very good. It’s worse in traffic.”

Ryan Blaney – Has good long run speed and feel. Had the second best 15 lap average. Jeff Gordon really liked his long run speed.

William Byron – 35 minutes into practice while he was 13th he said, “It took off quite good. It’s just lazy across center-exit.”

Martin Truex Jr. – His car wasn’t where he wanted it late in practice. His team was trying a lot of different setups.
