Asterisk Mark Report – Texas
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski had a great car last fall at Texas, but he finished an asterisk mark 12th. “Performance Wise”, I thought he was a top five contender but his race wasn’t incident free. On lap 253 while he was running in the top five he made an unexpected pit stop for a vibration. In the race he led 50 laps and finished 4th in Stage #2.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch was a top ten contender last fall at Texas, but he finished a misleading 17th. In the race he was caught speeding on pit road during the early competition caution while running in the top ten, and later around lap 140 while he was running in the top ten again he made an unexpected pit stop for a loose wheel which dropped him two laps down to 29th.
Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin had a tough race last fall at Texas and finished an asterisk mark 30th. On lap #1 he had contact with Bowyer and his race went downhill from there. On lap 10 he made an unexpected pit stop for a flat tire and a few laps later he came down pit road again. From that point his race was doomed and there was no bouncing back.
