Texas NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

NOTE: In this session teams focused on getting their cars setup for qualifying which is later today.

Ryan Blaney – Has a fast car (8th, 30 minutes into practice). Said his car is loose. Overall he said his car has been alright.

Jimmie Johnson – His early run in qualifying trim put him at the top of the speed chart. His fast lap time was draft aided.

Alex Bowman – Following his early run in qualifying trim which put him 8th he said, “Under drove one and two there.” A later run jumped him up to 2nd.

Kevin Harvick – Has good single car speed. Early in practice his car was bouncing.

Matt Tifft – Following his opening run he said, “felt super strong… that’s the best we’ve unloaded.”
