Texas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kyle Larson – Has a fast car. 25 minutes into practice while he was 2nd his spotter said, “I feel like we’re good wherever he runs–bottom or top.” 28 minutes into practice he moved to the top of the speed chart. Jeff Gordon really liked his speed late in practice.
Daniel Hemric – Early in practice he said, “It took off pretty well. The front end is more responsive, especially in 3 & 4.” Has a fast car.
Kyle Busch – Said his balance is good. Bounces in turns 3 and 4. Said he needs to go faster.
Austin Dillon – 30 minutes into practice while he was 12th it was reported his car was steadily improving. It was a little bit tight in traffic.
William Byron – Following a 12 lap run early which put him 9th he said the back end of his car was free. 35 minutes into practice he said, “Whatever is hookjng the rear and making it loose is what we need to work on. It’s making me slow up & I can’t be aggressive into Turn 1 like I want”
