Bristol NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

William Byron – Worked to find his rhythm this session. His opening run was 15 laps and he reported he’s was a bit too snug that run. His car was tight. 30 minutes into practice while he was 12th his crew chief Jimmie Johnson said, “Mice little run there William Byron, good job.” Ran 110 laps.

Jimmie Johnson – 25 minutes into practice while he was 10th following his second run he said, “That was a good change.” 30 minutes into practice his crew chief said, “Those are some good lap times Jimmie.” Late in practice he said, “That run was a little inconsistent, don’t know why that is…”

Alex Bowman – His team did a ton of adjustments and he missed almost the entire session. Got out on the track in the closing seconds and completed 2 laps.

Denny Hamlin – He’s been decent in 3 and 4 and in 1 in 2 he wants to be better over the bumps. Following an adjustment after his first run he returned to the track and jumped to the top of the speed chart. DW thought his car looked good. His team unloaded happy. His team did some experimenting this session.

Ryan Blaney – Said his car is pretty good.
