NASCAR Open Practice Notes
Ty Dillon – Ran the most laps and had good speed. 30 minutes into practice while he was 3rd he said, “That freed it up and helped a little bit. I still need the front to react a little better.” Ended the session 4th.
Alex Bowman – His team feels good about his race car and how it stacks up against “Open” competition. 15 minutes into practice he said, “Really loose. Ride quality was way worse this run for some reason.” 25 minutes into practice he said, “Really rigid everywhere. Very low grip. We made it a little better.”
Kyle Larson – Had a fast car. Early in practice he was at the top of the speed chart.
Corey LaJoie – His team is using an old chassis this weekend that hasn’t been used since 2016. His team liked his long run speed. “Just a 2/10 tight.”
Matt DiBenedetto – Ran a lot of laps and practiced running in traffic.
