Sonoma Early Week Top 20 Fantasy Projections
This weekend the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will hit its first road course race of the season with the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday. The races at the road course tracks are always very fun to watch, and from a Fantasy NASCAR perspective it gives you the chance to pick some drivers that aren’t really “top options” on the other types of tracks we race at. Teams will be playing the strategy game once again this weekend, as this 12-turn, 2.52-mile track gives them plenty of time to make pit stops under green without losing a lap. Additionally, a wreck doesn’t guarantee a caution here at Sonoma; a car could spin out and keep going without the yellow flag being displayed, simply because of the length of the track.
