The Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Chicagoland
Bubba Wallace – If you pick Bubba Wallace be prepared for him to come home with a mid to high-twenties finish. This year at 1.5 mile tracks over the combined events he has a 26.0 average finish and a 26.0 average running position. Last year at Chicagoland in his lone career start he was a low-twenties driver. He finished 23rd, had a 23rd place average running position and earned the 24th best driver rating.
Corey LaJoie – Corey LaJoie has two starts under his belt at Chicagoland and in both races he’s finished quite bad. He finished 34th last year and 36th in 2017. That said, in 2019 his team has been performing better than they have in the past. At Charlotte, the most recent 1.5 mile track visited he finished 12th. I will note, that result isn’t typical. At the other 1.5 mile tracks visited this year he’s finished between 22nd to 29th. On Sunday, I would look for him to be a mid to high-twenties driver.
Landon Cassill – At Chicagoland, look for Landon Cassill to be a low to mid-thirties driver. Unless something really goofy happens I don’t see him finishing better than that range. This year his best result at a 1.5 mile track is 30th. At Chicagoland, Cassill has never run well and his average finish is 29.7. Last year he finished 36th. In 2017 in his old ride he had his best result and finished 20th. In his seven Chicagoland races prior to that he finished 27th or worse every race.
