Daytona Fantasy NASCAR Confidence Ranking Picks
1) Joey Logano / Starting 1st – DraftKings Price $10,200 – FanDuel Price $14,000
Joey Logano is a premiere performer at super speedways who’ll be tough to beat at Daytona. When it comes to this form of racing, Logano ranks among the best of the best. What makes him so good on this track type is that he’s the perfect combination of smart and aggressive. In recent races at super speedways, nobody has been better and in 6 of the last 7 he’s finished in the top 5. Restrictor plates are now a thing of the past, but that hasn’t slowed him down at super speedways and this spring at Talladega he finished 4th and led 37 laps. At Daytona, Logano has thrived and in 5 of the last 7 races he’s finished between 4th to 6th. In this years Daytona 500, Logano had a great car. He finished 4th when the checkered flag waved, 3rd in Stage #1 and 10th in Stage #2. If he would’ve had some help at the end I think there’s a good chance he could’ve won. In his Thursday Duel race leading up to the Daytona 500 he made an impressive move at the end which propelled him to victory lane. Last summer at Daytona, Logano had a fast car but finished a misleading 39th after crashing in the lap 54 “Big One.” If his race would’ve been incident free, I’m sure he probably would’ve been a factor. In last years Daytona 500, Logano had a great car and finished 4th. Additionally, he earned the 2nd best driver rating and finished 3rd in Stage #2. In 4 of the 6 Daytona races prior to that he finished in the top six and that includes winning the 2015 Daytona 500.

2) Kyle Busch / Starting 2nd – DraftKings Price $11,000 – FanDuel Price $13,500
Kyle Busch is an elite performer at Daytona who’ll likely be a factor on Saturday night. The track is going to be hot and slick and that should play to his strengths. At Daytona, Busch has run extremely well and he’s shown top 5 potential over the last 7 straight races. Earlier this year at Daytona, Busch had a great car. When the checkered flag waved he finished 2nd, earned the 2nd best driver rating, had a 6th place average running position, won Stage #1 and led 37 laps. Last summer, Busch had a great car, but finished an asterisk mark 33rd. In the race he finished 2nd in Stage #1 and was running in 2nd at the time of his demise on lap 65 when Ricky Stenhouse Jr. wrecked him. In the 2018 Daytona 500 a couple of flat tires which doomed him to a 25th place finish. Prior to his first flat he was running in the top five. At Talladega this spring he finished 10th.
3) Alex Bowman / Starting 9th – DraftKings Price $8,600 – FanDuel Price $10,000
Alex Bowman is one of the hottest drivers in NASCAR and at Daytona I think he’ll be a driver to watch. Momentum matters in fantasy NASCAR and over the last 8 races he’s scored the most points, has the best average finish (6.6), the 2nd best average running position (9.5) and he’s the only driver who’s finished in the top 15 every race. His hot streak started at Talladega, the other super speedway on the schedule and at that venue this spring he finished 2nd. At Daytona, Bowman has been pretty solid in the #88 and over the last three combined races he has the 2nd best driver rating, the best average running position (9.0) and a 12.7 average finish. Earlier this year at Daytona, Bowman ran well. He finished 11th, had an 11th place average running position and earned the 8th best driver rating. Last summer, Bowman was solid. He finished 10th in Stage #1, 3rd in Stage #2 and then finished 10th when the checkered flag waved. In the 2018 Daytona 500 he was top ten good, but finished a misleading 17th. Two laps prior to crashing late he was running in 8th.
