Kentucky NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kurt Busch – Was in race trim for the whole session. His car seemed to be pretty good. He said his car feels fast, but it feels like he’s on the ragged edge all the time. Midway through practice he was 8th on the speed chart. Midway through practice his ten lap average ranked as the 4th best.
Austin Dillon – 15 minutes into practice while he was 20th he said his overall balance is much better than it was in the first practice session. Midway through practice while he was 14th his spotter said, “You’re in the ballpark right there, bud.”
Alex Bowman – 30 minutes into practice while he was 16th he reported his car is a little better after his most recent run. 45 minutes into practice while he was 14th he said, “It was an improvement there. I’m still on the edgy side.”
Ty Dillon – Ten minutes into practice while he was 21st he said, “I’m loose in and tight in the middle.”
Matt Tifft – 10 minutes into practice while he was 27th he said, “I feel like the front is better except for hitting the splitter… the rear is wicked loose.” 45 minutes into practice while he was 29th he said, “Little tight left front… like it doesn’t want to complete the turn.”
