New Hampshire NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Alex Bowman – 25 minutes into practice he got into the wall hard in his backup car. On Sunday, he’ll be driving a #48 backup car. Early in practice (prior to getting into the wall) he said, “I’m pretty free in. Definitely more put together than it was to start.” 15 minutes into practice while he was 10th he said, “That definitely snugged it up.”
Matt DiBenedetto – Had a flat tire during the opening minutes of practice. His car got a little bit of damage that his team will be able to repair. He still feels fine about his car. He felt like his car fired off good at the start of the session and was better than it was in practice #2. Later in practice when he returned to the track he had another flat tire. His flat tire was the same one as before (left rear).
Kevin Harvick – His car showed really good speed over his opening run. Early in practice he had the best 5 lap average. His 15 lap average ranked as the 7th best.
Kyle Larson – Near the start of practice his team was still working on getting his backup car ready. His backup car appeared to show some good speed and 40 minutes into practice he was 8th. His 15 lap average at the end of the session ranked as the 2nd best.
Ty Dillon – Early in practice he said, “I’m still loose in, tight in the middle and loose of.” 20 minutes into practice while he was 28th he said, “Front grip was better, but balance was worse on entry.” 30 minutes into practice he said, “I just can’t get grip in the tires. Let’s change some air pressures around.”
