New Hampshire NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Kyle Larson – 10 minutes into practice he got into the wall. He locked up his brakes. He’ll be going to a backup car and will be scored from his 15th place starting position. He only completed 4 laps and all of them were likely used for pit practice.

William Byron – Early in practice he got into the wall hard. He’ll be going to a backup car and will start in the rear of the field. He’ll be scored from his 22nd place starting position.

Erik Jones – Late in practice he jumped to the top of the speed chart. Had the best 5,10 and 15 lap averages. Said his car has made big gains this weekend. Said there’s some things that can make his car better. Said his car is turning really good.

Austin Dillon – During his opening run five minutes into practice his crew chief said, “That’s really, really good bud, really good.” 40 minutes into practice while he was 14th he said his car is just a little too tight.

Jimmie Johnson – 25 minutes into practice while he was 12th he said, “Good improvement there guys.” Late in practice while he was 8th he said his car got tighter on the long run.
