Pocono Happy Hour Practice Notes
Bubba Wallace – Between practice sessions his team did an engine change. He didn’t log any laps this session and he’ll start in the rear of the field on Sunday. He’ll be scored from his starting position.
William Byron – 15 minutes into practice after he just completed a 10 lap run he told his crew chief that his setup is pretty good, just a little loose in the center of Turn 1. That run put him 3rd on the speed chart. He was happy with his car. Late in practice he had some power steering concerns. Had the best 10 lap average.
Kyle Larson – 39 minutes into practice he finally got out on the track in his backup car. He ran 10 laps in his backup and ended the session 24th.
Chase Elliott – Late in practice he was able to finally log laps in his backup car. He ran 8 laps in his backup car and ended the session 26th.
Jimmie Johnson – 20 minutes into practice while he was 6th he said, “That was better, but still too loose.” 30 minutes into practice he said, “Balance is good guys!” Dale Earnhardt Jr. thought he was probably happy with his car.
