Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Michigan
Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer was a top ten contender this spring at Michigan, but he finished an asterisk mark 35th after crashing. At the time of his demise he was running in 11th. At some portions of the race prior to his problem he ran among the top five. If his race would’ve been incident free, I think he had a great chance to finish in the top ten.
Erik Jones – Erik Jones had a strong performance this spring at Michigan, but unfortunately his race wasn’t incident free and he finished a misleading 31st. In the race he finished 3rd in Stage #1 and was running in the top five with a few laps remaining in Stage #2 before he had to pit for fuel. Trouble unfortunately struck in the last segment. With 58 laps to go while he was running in the mid-teens he had a flat tire and made an unexpected pit stop. Then near the end with 5 laps to go he spun into the grass. If his race would’ve been incident free, I think he had a great chance to finish in the top ten.
Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon showed potential this spring at Michigan, but his afternoon wasn’t incident free and he finished an asterisk mark 26th. With 65 laps to go he got into the wall hard. Just prior to his problem he was running in 12th. His car was never the same after he got into the wall.
