Michigan NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Daniel Suarez – 35 minutes into practice he had contact with the wall. He got some damage but as of now his team plans to stick with their primary car. Suarez had a puncture with his tire which caused his flat.
Alex Bowman – 15 minutes into practice while he was 2nd he said, “If handling comes into play when it’s hotter, We’re going to be really good…it definitely drives really good.” Has a really fast car this weekend.
Erik Jones – Has a fast car. Early in practice he jumped to the top of the speed chart. 40 minutes into practice he had the best 5 and 10 lap averages.
Michael McDowell – 5 minutes into practice he said, “Way too loose.” His opening 5 lap run put him 25th. Late in practice he told his team that his car is tight.
William Byron – Following his opening run which put him 14th he said he needed more rotation from his car. 30 minutes into practice while he was 14th he said, “I just don’t have the stability I need to be able to make the moves that I want to make.”
