Bristol NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Erik Jones – His car was extremely fast. 35 minutes into practice he was at the top of the speed chart and was the only driver who ran a sub-15 second lap.

Joey Logano – He showed a lot of speed this session. Ten minutes into practice he was at the top of the speed chart. Late in practice he had the best 10 lap average.

Matt DiBenedetto – His car looked pretty sporty. Ten minutes into practice after doing a 12 lap run he was 4th on the speed chart. 35 minutes into practice he was up to 3rd. Late in practice he had the 2nd best ten lap average.

Alex Bowman – Following his opening 12 lap run which put him 9th he said “Really stable entry. Rotates really well. Physical center is getting tighter as we run.” 35 minutes into practice while he was 9th he reported that his car “Too loose.”

Denny Hamlin – He appears to have a good car this weekend. 15 minutes into practice he was 2nd on the speed chart. Late in practice he jumped to the top of the speed chart.
