The Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Darlington
Matt Tifft – At Darlington, I would look for Matt Tifft be around a mid-twenties driver. In recent races leading up to the weekend he’s frequently finished right around that range. At Darlington, Tifft has never made a top series start. Last year in the lower series at Darlington he finished 8th. In 2017 he crashed on the first lap and finished 40th.
Corey LaJoie – Corey LaJoie has two starts on his resume at Darlington and on Sunday I would look for him to be a 25th to 30th place driver. That’s essentially been his 2019 weekly level of performance. At Darlington over his combined starts LaJoie sports a 27.5 average finish. Last year he finished 27th, and in 2017 he finished 28th.
Landon Cassill – At Darlington, I think Landon Cassill is poised to be a high-twenties to low-thirties driver. That’s essentially his 2019 weekly level of performance. The only times he’s finished outside of that range the attrition rate was catastrophic or he had a DNF. At Darlington, Cassill has a 26.4 average finish and all 8 of his results are between 20th to 30th. Last year in his current ride, Cassill didn’t run well. When the checkered flag waved he finished 30th and had a 34th place average running position.
Ross Chastain – At Darlington, I would look for Ross Chastian to be his typical high-twenties to low-thirties self. Race after race he almost always finishes within that range. Last year in his lone start at “The Track Too Tough To Tame” he finished 28th, earned the 29th best driver rating and had a 32nd place average running position.
