During pace laps, Martin Truex Jr. radioed his team and said his brake pedal felt squishy.

Kyle Busch who started on the pole led the opening 11 laps.

Notable Moment: On lap 10, Kevin Harvick came to pit road shortly before the first competition caution came out. Nobody else came to pit road. During his stop he had an uncontrolled tire.

During the competition caution, Denny Hamlin was the only driver who didn’t pit. Hamlin then led the next 21 laps.

During the competition caution, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had an uncontrolled tire.

Shortly before the competition caution that came out on lap 31, Kevin Harvick came to pit road.

Notable Moment: Just before the second competition caution came out, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. came to pit road but he was caught speeding.

Notable Moment: During the second competition caution, Joey Logano’s pit crew changed a shock.

Big Moment: On lap 41, Martin Truex Jr. had a massive brake failure. His brake rotor exploded. This marked the end of his race. In a post DNF interview he said his car was really fast and had good speed in clean air.

Kurt Busch who finished 2nd in Stage #1 had a slow pit stop during the Stage caution that dropped him back to 25th.

While Kyle Busch was scuffing tires while leading before the start for Stage #2 he had contact with grass and he said it made his steering tougher.

Big Moment: On lap 59, Bubba Wallace wrecked after having a brake failure. David Starr plowed into him. Wallace’s car was totaled.

Big Moment: On lap 67, Alex Bowman was involved in a wreck and his car had a lot of damage. He was running around the mid-teens at the time. When the race went back to green he had a horrible tire rub.

Notable moment: On lap 76, JJ Yeley spun and brought out a caution. There was a lot of mixed pit strategy at this time.

Right before the end of Stage #2 a lot of pit strategy ensued.

Notable Moment: With 4 laps to go in Stage #2 after doing his pit stop, Aric Almirola was caught speeding on pit road. He was running in the top ten prior to his problems.

Denny Hamlin was really happy with his car near the end of Stage #2.

Notable Moment: Right near the end of the Stage #2, Kyle Busch was penalized for pitting too late.
