Kurt Busch – His car was pretty racy. 30 minutes into practice among drivers who were solely in race trim at the time he ranked as the 2nd best. Late in practice while he was 5th he said, “I’m just a little bit free right now.” Busch was in race trim for the entire session. Kurt Busch ended the session with the best 5 lap average.
Ryan Preece – Early in practice while he was 17th he said he’s a lot better this practice, he’s just a little tight. Midway through practice his car was loose. “Still loose sideways into 1 ever since we made that height adjustment.”
