Charlotte Roval NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Michael McDowell – He was transported away from the track to the hospital because of abdominal pain. Austin Cindric practiced his car. 40 minutes into practice, Cindric was 17th.

Denny Hamlin – 25 minutes into practice he backed his car into one of the infield walls. His team will be going to a backup car and he’ll start in the rear of the field. He’ll be scored from where he qualifies. “I feel like our backup car will be fine and we’ll have a good race on Sunday.”

Parker Kligerman – 10 minutes into practice he got into the wall and brought out a caution. He was feeling really good prior to his incident. His team will be going to a backup car and he’ll start in the rear of the field. He’ll be scored from where he qualifies.

William Byron – 10 minutes into practice while he was 3rd in race trim he reported that he’s lacking rear grip. 25 minutes into practice while he was 5th he said changes made the car tighter in the wrong places. Late in practice in qualifying trim he jumped up to 2nd.

Bubba Wallace – Late in practice he spun and brought out a caution. He was 23rd on the speed chart at the time.
