Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Kansas
Kevin Harvick – This spring at Kansas, Kevin Harvick was the class of the field but he finished a misleading 13th. Around lap 178 he slowed on the track and made an unexpected pit stop (Tire issue/ debris on his grille). When his problem occurred he was the leader. If his race would’ve been incident free, I think he was clearly the driver to beat. In the race Harvick earned the best driver rating, led the most laps (104), won Stage #1 and finished 2nd in Stage #2.
Kyle Busch – Nobody had a more misleading result than Kyle Busch this spring at Kansas. “Performance Wise”, Kyle Busch was top ten good but finished an asterisk mark 30th. Late in the race around lap 245 shortly after a restart while he was running in the top ten he had a tire rub and made an unexpected pit stop which dropped him two laps down dooming him to his poor result.
