Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Martinsville
Erik Jones – Erik Jones looked solid this spring at Martinsville, but he finished an asterisk mark 30th. Around lap 330 while he was running just outside the top ten he had contact with Kyle Larson and it caused him to get left side flat tires. That did a good amount of damage which led to an expected pit stop. A little later when he returned to the track the sheet metal on his back bumper was flapping around and this caused him to have to pit again.
Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer finished 7th this spring at Martinsville which is a great result, but I think there’s a good chance he was better than his finish. In the race he got not one, but two speeding penalties. His first speeding penalty happened around lap 315 when he was running in 4th. That dropped him back to about 20th. Then later around lap 375 while he was running in 10th he was caught speeding again and that dropped him back to 21st.
Ross Chastain – Ross Chastian had a tough race this spring at Martinsville and he finished 34th (only 36 cars). He spent a lot of time in the garage early because of an axle problem, and then when he returned to the track his engine blew up.
