Daytona 500 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes
Fantasy Note: This practice session was mostly about drivers dialing in their qualifying setup. Only the top 3 overall drivers spent time drafting this session. The rest were single car runs.
Brad Keselowski – His car had a good amount of damage from a garage incident. Somebody stopped in front of him, he had no brakes and he clipped a fence pole. His team is going to attempt to repair his car. Keselowski didn’t complete any laps this session.
Alex Bowman – Early in practice he drove to the top of the speed chart. He ended the session as the fastest un-draft assisted driver.
William Byron – Early in practice he said, “I think it drove a bit better there. That or I’m use to the car now.” He had one of the fastest cars in qualifying trim. Midway through practice he had the 3rd fastest un-draft assisted lap. At the end of the session he ranked as the 4th fastest un-draft assisted driver.
Bubba Wallace – He spent time drafting this session. His time spent in the draft put him at the top of the speed chart. After spending time in the draft he said, “Don’t change it, feels good.”
John Hunter Nemheck – He was one of three drivers who spent time drafting this session. It had him artificially high on the speed chart.
