Ryan Blaney and Corey LaJoie will use backup cars in the Daytona 500
After being involved in wrecks in the Daytona Duel races, both Ryan Blaney and Corey LaJoie will be using backup cars in the Daytona 500.
Both drivers will start in the rear of the field, but they’ll be scored from their starting position result they earned in the Duel races. Ryan Blaney will be scored from 27th and Corey LaJoie will be scored from 36th.
The No. 12 team has confirmed they will indeed go to a backup car for Sunday’s #Daytona500.
The team has begun preparations to be ready for practice tomorrow afternoon.#NASCAR
