Daytona 500 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Toyota – No Toyota teams practiced in Happy Hour.

William Byron – He practiced in the draft and looked pretty good. 20 minutes into practice he said, “That was good, I think we have a decent base.” After that his team was done for the session.

Kurt Busch – Said he feels really good about his car. He did a systems check this session. Said his car is as prepped as it can be. He did a single car run this session.

Chase Elliott – He looked pretty racy this session in the draft. Late in practice he said, “I feel like I’m a glass half-empty guy on plate tracks in general.” Doesn’t believe the car drafted as well as he needed to and without time drafting out front, not sure what to expect.” 

Clint Bowyer – He ran the most laps this session. He did some pit road practice this session. He thought his balance was good.
