Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Las Vegas Fall 2019
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch had an eventful evening last fall at Las Vegas and he finished a misleading 19th. Trouble started for Busch extremely early. On lap 5 he got into the wall, and then on lap 12 he made an unexpected pit stop which dropped him two laps down. That kept him back in the running order for much of the race, but he rallied back over the course of the event. Then late in the race trouble struck again. With 13 laps to go while he was running in 11th his splitter was damaged and then a few laps later he ran into the back of Joey Gase who statistically had the 2nd worst Green Flag Average Speed. He’s lucky that happened at the very end, or he would’ve finished a lot worse.

Erik Jones – Erik Jones finished 36th last fall at Las Vegas, but that’s a misleading result. “Performance Wise”, Jones looked like a top ten contender but during the caution for Stage #1 after he just finished 10th his car was stuck in 2nd gear and that led to him getting pushed behind the wall for about 10 laps which ruined his afternoon.
Kurt Busch – Nobody had a more misleading result than Kurt Busch last fall at Las Vegas and he finished a misleading 39th. In the race he finished 6th in Stage #1, 9th in Stage #2 but on lap 188 while he was running around 10th he slammed into the wall which ruined his afternoon. That happened shortly after a restart when he had contact with another car which led to a tire going down.
