Michael McDowell started in the rear of the field after failing inspection twice.
Matt Tifft started in the rear of the field after changing his engine.

Race Notes
Austin Dillon who won the pole selected to start in the low-line. He never led a lap all afternoon.
Denny Hamlin who started in 6th led the first two laps.
On lap 3, Aric Almirola got the lead and then led the next 7 laps.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was a big mover early and he was running in the top five around lap 5. He started the race in 12th.
Kevin Harvick’s car wasn’t very good over a short run early in the race. He said his car was too loose.
William Byron was a mover early in the race. He started in 22nd and was in 12th at around lap 8.
On lap 10, Denny Hamlin passed Aric Almirola and led for 3 laps.
On lap 13, Kyle Busch got the lead and he then led the next 18 laps until a green flag pit cycle started.
Top 5 at lap 13: 18,11,10,3,17
Kevin Harvick was back to 11th at around lap 15
Martin Truex Jr. started deep in 27th but he was running just outside the top ten at around lap 18. His team did a lot of “overnight” changes after not liking his car in practice but he was pleased with his car at this point in the race.
On lap 23, Kyle Busch had a two second lead over second place Denny Hamlin.
On lap 23, Martin Truex Jr. was up to 9th place.
Around lap 26, green flag pit stop started.
During his green flag pit stop, Kevin Harvick said that the looseness of his car went away after about 20 laps.
Kyle Busch had really good long run speed and he stayed out on the track longer than most of the front runners.
On lap 31, William Byron who was stretching his fuel led 3 laps.
On lap 34, Kyle Busch resumed the lead and he then led the next 23 laps.
Martin Truex Jr. was up to 6th at around lap 40.
Big Moment: Around lap 40, Clint Bowyer said he dropped a cylinder and his engine was starting to blow up.
Kyle Busch lapped Ryan Newman who was running back in the twenties at around lap 45.
Notable Moment: Ty Dillon had a tire down around lap 50 and made an unexpected pit stop.
Notable Moment: On lap 56, Austin Dillon had a tire rub which made smoke and then NASCAR called a caution. He was running in the top ten prior to his problem.
- Brad Keselowski had a long pit stop during the Austin Dillon caution to repair some damage to his car after he got into the wall.
Running order for the Austin Dillon caution restart (first three didn’t pit): 11,17,14,18,10,22,19,4,48,41,12
Big Moment: On lap 59, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. spun. He had some contact with Erik Jones, Martin Truex Jr., and Kyle Larson. Erik Jones appeared to get the most damage from the incident. Kyle Larson had a good bit of right side damage after he got into the wall from contact. Martin Truex Jr. had damage to his right rear.
