Charlotte #2 Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway on Wednesday for a much shorter race than the one ran on Sunday night. This has obvious Fantasy NASCAR implications since that gives teams less time to make their way through the field, plus that magnifies any mistakes that are made. And with how hard it was to pass here in the Coca-Cola 600, track position will probably end up being key to success on Wednesday night as well.

Final Top 25 Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for Charlotte Wednesday Night
1. Alex Bowman – Starts 2nd – DraftKings Price: $8,700 – FanDuel Price: $12,200 – Slingshot Price: $10,700
I’m not sure how anyone could leave Alex Bowman off of the list of favorites heading into Wednesday night. He lead over 150 laps in the Coca-Cola 600 and had one of the best cars all night after his crew chief, Greg Ives, made that awesome early call to get two tires and get track position. Now Bowman will start on the front row for Wednesday night’s show and will likely lead quite a few laps again. Bowman has had one of the strongest cars all season long, and since NASCAR returned to racing, you could argue he’s had the fastest (his green lap speed average is best in the series). Remember, Bowman lined up 3rd for that final restart on Sunday but inexplicably faded to the end of the lead lap (I think it was done on purpose to get a good starting spot for this race).
2. Martin Truex, Jr. – Starts 15th – DraftKings Price: $9,400 – FanDuel Price: $14,000 – Slingshot Price: $12,400
You just don’t get a safer pick than Martin Truex, Jr. at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His 6th-place finish here on Sunday night was the first time he’s ended up outside of the top 5 since 2016, and over the last nine races at Charlotte, Truex has wound up 6th or better in eight of them. The #19 Toyota was the fastest car in almost all speed categories on Sunday night, and even though he starts back in 15th for Wednesday night’s race, Truex will be a contender before it’s all said and done. Don’t forget, he won the fall race here in 2017 after starting back in 17th, so he’s used to coming up through the field without a lot of time to work with.
3. Kyle Busch – Starts 17th – DraftKings Price: $10,500 – FanDuel Price: $13,700 – Slingshot Price: $12,800
Kyle Busch isn’t putting up any dominating performances in the Cup Series right now, but he now has four finishes of 4th or better in the last five races, which is saying a lot. On Wednesday night, Rowdy will start from back in 17th but there’s no reason to think he won’t be inside the top 5 when it’s all said and done. Busch has finished 6th or better in five of the last six races here at Charlotte, and the #18 Toyota was a solid top 8 car in most speed categories on Sunday despite Kyle not making his way to the front until late. What really gives Busch an edge at Charlotte is his restart capabilities; with how hard it is to pass at this track, drivers need to get everything they can on restarts, and Kyle Busch is awesome at doing that.
