Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney, Ross Chastain, William Byron, Reed Sorenson, Corey LaJoie, Michael McDowell, Chris Buescher and Jimmie Johnson all started in the rear of the field because of inspection failures.

Kevin Harvick who won the pole selected to start in the outside lane. He led the opening 39 laps.
Notable Moment: On lap 4, Keselowski got slightly into the wall and it led to an unexpected pit stop. During his pit stop he had trouble and his car fell off the jack. When Keselowski returned to the track he remained on the lead lap.
Around lap 5, Kurt Busch was shown to have gotten slightly into the wall.

Notable Moment: On lap 97, Ryan Blaney got into the wall after contact with Suarez. Later that lap he crashed. Daniel Suarez’s car was also smoking at that time.
