Indianapolis Post Qualifying Draw Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
We’re off to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 Presented by Big Machine Records on Sunday. I guess the track needed more corporate money flowing in so instead of just the historical Brickyard 400 we get that mess of a title. Anyway, I’m expecting this race to play out similarly to the Pocono races last weekend. Joey Logano drew the pole for this weekend’s race and Kurt Busch will start alongside him in 2nd. Final Top 25 Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for the Indianapolis Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 Presented by Big Machine Records
1. Denny Hamlin – Starts 6th – DraftKings Price: $10,100 – FanDuel Price: $13,700 – Slingshot Price: $12,500
Denny Hamlin has never won a Brickyard race but he has to be one of the favorites this weekend. This #11 team is coming off of their fourth win of the season at Pocono and have now finished inside the top 5 in each of the last four races (and in 8 of the 11 since the COVID break). That 11-race span has also seen Hamlin end up in victory lane on three occasions. Here at Indianapolis, Denny has finished 6th or better in six of the last eight events, and he has three 3rd-place finishes to his name here in 14 total starts. That’s his best finish so far, but there’s a good chance Hamlin changes that on Sunday.
2. Kevin Harvick – Starts 11th – DraftKings Price: $11,000 – FanDuel Price: $14,200 – Slingshot Price: $13,000
There’s really no reason to go against Kevin Harvick in any Fantasy NASCAR league this weekend unless you’re banking on the possibility of him having mechanical issues. This #4 Ford has been the fastest on the flat tracks this year, Harvick finished 1st and 2nd in the two Pocono races last weekend, and he’s the defending winner of this race. Not to mention, he has a bad ass Busch Light paint scheme on the car this weekend. Harvick has a career average finish of 9th here at Indianapolis over 19 total starts and he hasn’t finished worse than 6th here since 2014 (and in that race he finished 8th).
3. Kyle Busch – Starts 7th – DraftKings Price: $10,400 – FanDuel Price: $13,000 – Slingshot Price: $12,700
This feels a little too high of a ranking for Kyle Busch with how disappointing he’s been this season, but at the same time, he’s going to finally break through and get a win here soon, and it just might be this weekend. After all, the Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas showed a ton of speed at Pocono last weekend and that should translate to fast cars here at Indianapolis as well. As far as track history goes, Rowdy is a two-time Brickyard winner and has two runner-up finishes here as well. Overall, 11 of his 15 career starts here have ended in top 10 finishes, and it should easily be 12 of 16 after Sunday.
