Michigan SUNDAY Fantasy NASCAR Confidence Rankings/ Driver Breakdowns
1) Kevin Harvick / Starting 20th/ DraftKings $11,500 / FanDuel $14,000
Will Kevin Harvick pull out the broom on the competition this weekend? I think there’s a good chance that might happen. On Saturday, Harvick dominated. He was the Fastest Driver Late In A Run, had the best Green Flag Average Speed, had a 1.7 average running position, led 92 laps and nearly earned a perfect driver rating. Overall at MIS, Harvick has won 3 of the last 5, and if it didn’t rain in spring 2018 he likely would’ve won 4 of the last 5 races here.
2) Denny Hamlin / Starting 15th / DraftKings $11,100 / FanDuel $13,500
Denny Hamlin should be on your short list of favorites for round #2 at Michigan. In double-events the #11 team has worked magic in race #2’s! In those events he has results of 1st (Darlington #2), 2nd (Charlotte #2) and 1st (Pocono #2). I think its clear they’ve proven they can tune up their car to be strong. On Saturday at Michigan, Hamlin felt like he was down on power. That said, he looked pretty good to me. He finished 6th, had a 4.5 average running position, led 10 laps and ranked as the 3rd “Fastest Driver Late In A Run.” Over the last three Michigan races, Denny Hamlin’s 6.3 average finish ranks as the 4th best.
3) Ryan Blaney / Starting 17th/ DraftKings $9,900 / FanDuel $12,000
Ryan Blaney will be a driver to be reckoned with Michigan on Sunday. On Saturday, Blaney had one of the best cars. He finished 4th, led the 2nd most laps (27), ranked as the 2nd “Fastest Driver Late In A Run” and had a 7.2 average running position. I think Blaney learned a lot in the race and without question I think he’ll once again be a top five contender. If fuel didn’t enter the equation last summer at Michigan late then Blaney would currently have 5 straight top tens at Michigan.
