Dover SUNDAY Fantasy NASCAR Confidence Rankings/ Driver Breakdowns
1) Denny Hamlin / Starting 20th
Denny Hamlin is aiming for 10 wins this season, he just got #6 in convincing fashion at “The Monster Mile.” On Saturday in addition to finishing first, Hamlin won all the Stages, earned the best driver rating, had a 2.5 average running position, led 115 laps, ranked as the “Fastest Driver Late In A Run” and had the best non-skewed “Green Flag Average Speed.” One attribute I like about Hamlin is how well he’s done in double weekends. In the race #2’s for double weekends he has results of 1st, 2nd, 1st and 2nd. That shows his team knows how to make adjustments, and that will be crucial for success on Sunday.

2) Kevin Harvick / Starting 17th
Kevin Harvick should be on your short list of favorites at Dover. He’s an elite performer at “The Monster Mile” and currently has three straight 4th place results. His 4th place finish on Saturday is a little more impressive because his track bar was malfunctioning unbeknownst to the team until after the race. His car kept on getting worse and worse, but he battled through. In addition to finishing 4th I’ll note he ranked as the 2nd “Fastest Driver Late In A Run” and his average running position was 8.5.
3) Martin Truex Jr. / Starting 19th
Martin Truex Jr.’s 3rd place finish streak ended at Dover on Saturday and he came home with a runner-up. On Saturday, the #19 car was strong and consistently ran near the front. In the race he ranked as the 4th “Fastest Driver Late In A Run”, led 88 laps and had a 3.8 average running position. On Sunday, look for him to be a factor to win.
