Daytona 2 Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
The NASCAR Cup Series Regular Season comes to an end this weekend at Daytona International Speedway, and with how the races at this track tend to play out, you have to wonder whether there will be the normal amount of carnage on Saturday night, or if teams will be a little more conservative, trying to not ruin other drivers’ chances of making the Playoffs. Either way, there’s a lot on the line for many teams this weekend, and I’m expecting the typical Daytona madness. Kevin Harvick will lead the field to the green on Saturday night and you can click here for the full starting lineup for the race at Daytona.

Final Top 25 Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for the Coke Zero Sugar 400
1. Denny Hamlin – Starts 10th – DraftKings Price: $10,400 – FanDuel Price: $11,700 – Slingshot Price: $12,700
Sorry to be cliché with the “Hamlin in 1st” ranking, but did you watch the Busch Clash race this year? Denny Hamlin literally pushed his teammate, Erik Jones, to the win by himself. That’s how hooked up this #11 Toyota is. Denny went on to win this year’s Daytona 500 as well, leading 79 laps despite starting back in 21st. He won’t have that same car to use this time around but I fully expect his Toyota to be just as strong on Saturday night. Hamlin has finished 6th or better in eight of the last 13 Daytona races, and will be a contender this weekend unless he runs into issues.
2. Ryan Blaney – Starts 9th – DraftKings Price: $10,000 – FanDuel Price: $10,000 – Slingshot Price: $12,000
To me, it’s Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, and then everyone else. Joey Logano is kind of close to these two, but I think the #11 and #12 cars are the fastest at superspeedways right now. Blaney finished 2nd in this year’s Daytona 500 race, which ended a streak of three straight finishes outside of the top 30 for him at this track. He then went on and won the race at Talladega. About the only bad thing I can say about YRB this weekend is that he has no momentum at all, with only one top 10 in the last seven races (and only two in the last eleven). Still, Blaney should have a great car on Saturday night and he’s a stellar superspeedway racer.
3. Joey Logano – Starts 3rd – DraftKings Price: $9,400 – FanDuel Price: $9,600 – Slingshot Price: $11,000
Like I said, when it comes to superspeedways, right now it’s Hamlin and Blaney, then Logano, and then everyone else, at least in my book. Here at Daytona, Joey has had some issues here recently but that doesn’t negate the fact that he’s finished 6th or better in five of the last nine points-paying races here. At Talladega this year, Logano came home 17th but he did lead 33 laps in that race. Just looking at this race without wrecks, I don’t think you can make a great argument for anyone else being in the top 3 other than Hamlin, Blaney, and Logano. For what it’s worth, Logano has the best average running position (6.6) at superspeedways this year.
