Las Vegas 2 Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
The second round of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs gets started this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In past years, races at 1.5-mile tracks have been some of the most predictable events out there, but this season, we’ve had some crazy finishes on these venues. That’s a major reason why only three drivers have a sub-10.0 average finish on this track type in 2020. I went ahead and made a cheat sheet for you combining the data from all of the 1.5-mile track races this season, and you can click here to see it.
We last raced here at Vegas back in February and it was Joey Logano that once again made it to victory lane. This weekend, Kevin Harvick is on the pole thanks to his dominating win at Bristol last weekend, and you can click here for the full starting lineup for the 2020 South Point 400 race.

Final Top 25 Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for Las Vegas 2
1. Chase Elliott – Starts 3rd – DraftKings Price: $ – FanDuel Price: $12,300 – Slingshot Price: $11,600
Chase Elliott’s Las Vegas resumé is sprinkled with more bad finishes than good ones, but make no mistake about it: this is one of his best tracks on the schedule. Over the last 12 Stage breaks here, Chase has been inside the top 8 in all but one of them, and if you remember back to the February race this year, he won both Stages and led 70 laps that day. Unfortunately a tire issue derailed this #9 team’s day and Chase ended up finishing 26th, but he definitely had the best car that day. If this #9 team hits the setup here again on Sunday night, Chase has a good chance at dominating once again. On the 1.5-mile tracks this season, Elliott has the 2nd-best Green Flag Speed ranking and he’s averaging the 3rd-most fastest laps as well.
2. Kevin Harvick – Starts 1st – DraftKings Price: $ – FanDuel Price: $13,500– Slingshot Price: $12,800
As if this #4 team needed even more speed, they somehow found it, as Kevin Harvick continues to be in another stratosphere of speed after dominating Bristol last Saturday night and picking up his 9th win of the season. Now we’re on to Las Vegas and a new round of the Playoffs, which means teams will be trying their hardest to get a win and lock up a spot in the Round of 8. And even though Harvick should have no trouble advancing to the next round, a win on Sunday night would certainly make it easiest, and it’s not like he hasn’t won in Sin City before. Harvick went to victory lane here back in 2015 as well as in 2018, leading a combined 356 laps between those two events. He starts on the pole this time around and has led 47+ laps in each oft he last three races here as well. If Harvick isn’t a contender on Sunday night, it’ll be due to driver error or a mechanical issue. Not that it should surprise you or anything, but Harvick has the 2nd-best average finish (6.2) on the low-wear 1.5-mile tracks this season.
3. Joey Logano – Starts 5th – DraftKings Price: $ – FanDuel Price: $12,800 – Slingshot Price: $11,800
Joey Logano’s record here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is just as stellar as his teammate’s. In addition to winning two of the last three races here, Logano has also led 44+ laps in seven of the last nine races at this track, while also posting top 5 finishes in five of the last seven. Currently, he’s on a nine-race streak of top 10 results in Sin City and that should easily turn into ten in a row here on Sunday night. This season on the 1.5-mile tracks, has had some major ups and downs, and on the low wear tracks of this length, his average finish is a little underwhelming at 12.3. Don’t let that scare you away, though: Joey will be a solid top 10 threat here on Sunday night, if not top 5.
