Talladega 2 Fantasy NASCAR Predictions
Probably to the relief of many Fantasy NASCAR players, we have our final superspeedway race of the 2020 season this weekend with the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday. So far this year we have had two races at Daytona and one here at Talladega, and if you’re looking for a great recap on how all drivers did in those races, you can click here for that. Other than that, you know the drill here: any driver is on the table for your Fantasy NASCAR picks, although some are better than others. Denny Hamlin is on the pole this weekend and you can click here for the full starting lineup for the 2020 Talladega fall race.

Final Top 25 Fantasy NASCAR Rankings for Talladega 2
1. Joey Logano – Starts 8th – DraftKings Price: $10,300 – FanDuel Price: $11,600 – Slingshot Price: $12,200
Penske Racing is the best at Talladega Superspeedway. There is no denying that at all. In addition to winning 4 of the last 6 races at this track, Penske has also won 8 of the last 10. The last two races at Talladega we’ve seen Ryan Blaney go to victory lane, and while that’s certainly possible to happen again, I think he’s going to play the good teammate card and push one of his Penske brothers into the next round of the Playoffs. And I think that will be Joey Logano. Joey is a three-time winner here at Dega and has finished inside the top 5 in six of the last ten races here (three of which were wins). He has the best average running position over the last four fall races here and the 3rd-best average finish (5.3). Additionally, Logano loves getting out in front and leading here; over the last seven Talladega races, the #22 Ford has led for 225 laps, which is nearly 100 more than the 2nd-most (Blaney with 135) during the same time span.
2. Denny Hamlin – Starts 1st – DraftKings Price: $9,700 – FanDuel Price: $11,400 – Slingshot Price: $12,000
I don’t like the guy, but he’s damn good on this track type so who am I to discount that? Denny Hamlin has an insane average finish of 2.7 on the superspeedways this season, with a win in the Daytona 500, a 4th-place finish in the first Talladega race, and a 3rd-place result in the second Daytona race. Denny and this #11 Toyota are definitely better at Daytona than they are at Talladega, but he still has three finishes of 4th or better in the last four events here, plus he’s starting on the pole on Sunday. And not that it will surprise you at all, but Hamlin has the best average finish of all drivers on superspeedways since the start of 2019, by nearly two full positions (Hamlin is at 10.6, Corey LaJoie is at 12.4). Finally, Denny has the best average finish (4.0) of all drivers in the last four fall Talladega races.
3. Ryan Blaney – Starts 14th – DraftKings Price: $9,100 – FanDuel Price: $12,000 – Slingshot Price: $11,000
Back to the Penske thing… you have to like Ryan Blaney this weekend. He’s not racing for his Playoff life anymore, so that should take some pressure off, plus he’s had one of the best superspeedway cars all season long and that isn’t going to change this weekend. In the three races at Talladega/Daytona this year, Blaney has the 2nd-best average running position (10.1) along with the 2nd-best average finish (3.0). As I said before, Blaney has won the last two Talladega races and led a combined 98 laps over those two events. YRB is a play in all types of Fantasy NASCAR leagues this weekend.
