Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Kansas
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney was a top five contender this summer at Kansas, but he finished an asterisk mark 20th. In the race he finished 4th in Stage #1, 2nd in Stage #2, led 15 laps, but with 41 laps to go he slammed into the wall hard which led to an unexpected pit stop. Just prior to his problem he was running around 6th.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch finished 11th this summer at Kansas, but that’s a misleading result. In the race, Busch won Stage #1, finished 5th in Stage #2, led 52 laps and ranked as the 2nd Fastest Driver Late In A Run, but his evening wasn’t incident free. With 40 laps to go while he was running in the top five he slammed into the wall hard which led to an unexpected pit stop.
Joey Logano – Joey Logano was a top five contender this summer at Kansas, but he finished a misleading 35th. In the race, Logano led the first 27 laps, but then during the competition caution while leading he was penalized for having an uncontrolled tire. That made for a long evening, but he battled back. On lap 170 which was shortly before his demise he was running in 7th.
