Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Phoenix #2 2020
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch has been a great performer at Phoenix and in 5 of the last 6 races he’s finished in the top 3. Last fall was the lone race he finished outside of that range. In the race, Busch finished 6th in Stage #1, 8th in Stage #2 and 11th overall. On lap 98 which was just before his problem he was running in 4th. Around lap 100, Busch got into the wall and then around lap 115 he made an unexpected pit stop for a flat tire. After that, Busch’s car simply wasn’t as competitive. Busch’s unexpected pit stop didn’t kill his afternoon since it was shortly before planned green flag stops.

Cole Custer – Last fall at Phoenix, Cole Custer finished 28th, but you can disregard that result. In the race he finished 14th in Stage #1, 13th in Stage #2 but then early in the final Stage he made an unexpected pit stop under green that dropped him a lap down which led to his poor result.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished 27th last fall at Phoenix, but you can get out your asterisk mark for that result. During the final green flag pit cycle he was busted speeding on pit road. Prior to his problem he was running in 18th. His average running position for the afternoon was 21.7.
