The Super Low Tier – Atlanta
Justin Haley (Starting – 26th) Justin Haley isn’t a full-time Cup driver, but he’s been in the last four races this season and has firmly cemented himself as the top super-low tier driver. Over Haley’s four starts he’s finished between 24th to 29th every race and has a 25.8 average finish. At Homestead, the most similar track visited this year he finished 26th. Haley has no Cup starts at Atlanta. In 2020 in the Xfinity Series at Atlanta he finished 3rd. On Sunday, I would look for Haley to be a mid to high-twenties driver. (DraftKings $5,600 / FanDuel $3,500 )
Cody Ware (Starting – 33rd) Cody Ware has been consistent at 1.5 mile tracks this year and has a pair of 32nd place finishes to his name. In 2019 when Ware had his most recent race at Atlanta he finished 33rd. On Sunday, look for Ware to be a low to mid-thirties driver. (DraftKings $4,500 / FanDuel $2,000 )
BJ McLeod (Starting – 31st) At Atlanta, look for BJ McLeod to be a low to mid-thirties driver. Over the last three races this season, McLeod’s finished between 30th to 34th. At Homestead, the most similar track visited he finished 34th. Last year at Atlanta, McLeod’s team brought a super-speedway car and he only completed 3 laps before his team called it a day which led to his 40th place finish. In 2019, McLeod finished 32nd. (DraftKings $4,600 / FanDuel $3,000 )
James Davison (Starting – 34th) At Atlanta, look for Davison to be a low to mid-thirties driver. That’s basically how his team stacks up against the competition. Earlier this year at Homestead, the most similar track visited he finished 37th due to an engine failure. Last fall at Kansas, Davison made his one other start at a 1.5 mile track and at that venue he finished 32nd. (DraftKings $5,100 / FanDuel $2,500 )
Quin Houff (Starting – 35th) This year at the two 1.5 mile tracks visited, Quin Houff has results of 33rd (Las Vegas) and 35th (Homestead) on his resume. Last year at Atlanta in his one Cup start he finished 32nd and had a 32.7 average running position. On Sunday, I would look for him to finish around the low to mid-thirties. (DraftKings $4,700 / FanDuel $3,000 )
Josh Bilicki (Starting – 37th) This year minus the Daytona 500, Josh Bilicki has finished between 33rd to 36th every race. That’s a trend I can believe in. At Homestead, the most similar track visited he finished 33rd. Last year at Atlanta, Bilicki finished 34th and had a 34.5 average running position. (DraftKings $4,800 / FanDuel $2,000 )
Joey Gase (Starting – 36th) At Atlanta, look for Joey Gase to finish around the mid-thirties. At Las Vegas, the only 1.5 mile track he raced at this year he finished 34th and had a 35.4 average running position. Last year at Atlanta, Gase finished 38th. (DraftKings $5,000 / FanDuel $2,000 )
Timmy Hill (Starting – 38th) In 2021, Timmy Hill has fielded the slowest car on the track (2021 Total Speed Rankings) and in all four races of his, Hill’s Total Speed Ranking was between 36th to 39th. At the two 1.5 mile tracks visited his Total Speed Ranking was 38th in both races with him having results of 36th and 38th. Last year at Atlanta, Hill finished 39th. (DraftKings $4,900 / FanDuel $3,500 )
