Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Dover 2020 (Race #1 and #2)
Dover Race #1
Alex Bowman – Alex Bowman has finished in the top five in 3 of the last 4 Dover races. Last year in race #1, Bowman failed to do so and finished an asterisk mark 21st. Early in the race on lap 6 when Kurt Busch crashed, the nose of the #88 was damaged and after that he wasn’t remotely competitive. The damage was so severe that in race #2 on Sunday his team elected to roll out a backup car.
Kurt Busch – Last year in Dover race #1, nobody had a shorter race than Kurt Busch. He completed just 6 laps before crashing and meeting his DNF demise after contact from Erik Jones. Since his race was so short, its hard to say how good Busch was.
William Byron – When you look at William Byron’s 28th place finish you’re probably wondering, what happened to him? The answer to that is nothing. He struggled in race #1 and had panic radio conversations with Chad Knaus about not knowing what to do.
Kevin Harvick – Kevin Harvick finished 4th last year in race #1 and you’re probably thinking, how in the world did he have an asterisk mark finish. Late in the race, Kevin Harvick’s team struggled getting his car to turn and then following the race when they took a look at the #4 they discovered the track bar was malfunctioning unbeknownst to them.
