Circuit Of The Americas (COTA) Fantasy NASCAR Practice Notes

William Byron – William Byron was fast in this session. 50 minutes into practice he was 4th on the speed chart. At that time his crew chief said, “We’re in the ballpark on times for this weather.” In the closing minutes of practice, Byron jumped to the top of the speed chart. Jeff Gordon said it looked like Byron had good grip and was good in the braking zones.

Alex Bowman – Late in practice while he was 13th, Bowman said, “I’m not putting good laps together. I keep missing corners. Struggling with turning left and straight-line drive.”

AJ Allmendinger – When practice started, his car still wasn’t through technical inspection. Allmendinger finally made it out on track in the closing minutes of practice and only managed to log 2 laps. He ended the session 22nd on the speed chart.

Tyler Reddick – 30 minutes into practice while he was 16th it was reported his car was handling pretty good for the weather conditions. Tyler Reddick is doing double duty and racing in the Xfinity Series this weekend.
