Texas NASCAR All-Star Race Rules
The All-Star Race will be 100 laps long and broken into six rounds.
Round #1 – 15 Laps, following round #1 the field will be inverted anywhere from 8th to 12th at random.
Round #2 – 15 Laps, following round #2 the entire field will be inverted.
Round #3 – 15 laps, following round #3 the field will be inverted anywhere from 8th to 12th at random.
Round #4 – 15 Laps
Round #5 – 30 Laps, the starting lineup for this round will be determined from cumulative average finish of the first 4 rounds. All cars must enter pit road for a mandatory four-tire pit stop during this round. The crew with the fastest stop will pocket $100,000.
Round #6 – 10 Laps. The winner of this round wins the All-Star Race.
A special rules package will also be put into place for the All-Star Race.
The rules configuration for the All-Star Race will use the high-downforce aerodynamics package at the 1.5-mile track, but engines will use a tapered spacer reduced from 59/64th of an inch to 57/64th. That setup is currently used on superspeedways, where horsepower targets are in the 500-510 range.
