The Super Low Tier – Nashville
Justin Haley – Justin Haley is poised to be the top Super Low Tier performer once again at Nashville. Among drivers of this tier, Haley ranks #1 in terms of Total Speed Rankings at 1.5 mile tracks and #1 at 750 HP intermediates. Over Haley’s last five races this season minus COTA where he had problems he’s finished between 28th to 30th. Haley is of course an Xfinity series regular, so his extra track time on Saturday is a plus. On Sunday, look for Haley to be a high-twenties to low-thirties driver. (Draftkings $5,300 / FanDuel $2,500 )
Quin Houff – Quin Houff might prove to be one of the better Super Low Tier performers at Nashville. This year between the two 750 HP intermediates visited, Houff has a 29.5 average finish and his results were 29th (Dover) and 30th (Darlington). At 1.5 mile tracks this year, Houff has finished between 32nd to 35th in 4 of the 5 races. At Nashville, look for Houff to likely be a low to mid-thirties driver. (Draftkings $4,500 / FanDuel $3,000 )
JJ Yeley – At Nashville, JJ Yeley will be driving the #51 2019 Chevy of Petty Ware Racing. When you see the word “Ware, beware!” That said, Yeley has actually been a pretty respectable driver in his four other races in Ware equipment this year. In 2021, Yeley is 4 for 4 at finishing between 25th to 29th. The one applicable track he raced at this year was Darlington and at that venue he finished 29th. On Sunday, I’m going to view him as a low-thirties driver who has some upside. (Draftkings $5,500 / FanDuel $2,000 )
BJ McLeod – Look for BJ McLeod to be a low to mid-thirties driver at Nashville. Over the last four races this season minus Dover where he had engine problems he’s finished in either 31st or 32nd. At Darlington, a fellow 750 HP intermediate track that was recently visited he finished 32nd. At the last two 1.5 mile tracks raced at in 2021, McLeod is 2 for 2 at finishing 31st. (Draftkings $5,100 / FanDuel $2,000 )
Garrett Smithley – At ovals this year minus the Daytona 500, Garrett Smithley has finished between 31st to 35th every race. That’s a trend I’m willing to believe in. At Dover, a fellow 750 HP intermediate track he finished 32nd last month. (Draftkings $5,000 / FanDuel $2,000 )
Josh Bilicki – At Nashville, look for Josh Bilicki to be a low to mid-thirties driver. Of that range, I would definitely lean more towards the mid-thirties. Over his last five races heading into the weekend, Bilicki’s finished between 29th to 35th, and that’s a trend I think will continue. This year at 750 HP intermediates, Bilicki has results of 33rd (Darlington) and 34th (Dover). 1.5 mile tracks have been a glaring weakness for him this year though. At those venues he’s finished 33rd or worse every race and has a 35.8 average result. (Draftkings $4,700 / FanDuel $3,500 )
Joey Gase – At Nashville, I think Joey Gase is a lock to finish in the mid-thirties. This year he’s been in five races and minus the Daytona 500 he’s 4 for 4 at finishing in either 34th or 35th. (Draftkings $4,900/ FanDuel $2,000 )
Chad Finchum – Chad Finchum will be driving Timmy Hill’s #66 this week, but he’ll be driving a 2021 Toyota and not Hill’s typical 2018. That said, look for this car to finish near the very back of the pack. This will be Finchum’s first race of the 2021 season. (Draftkings $4,600 / FanDuel $3,000 )
David Starr – David Starr will be making his 2nd start of the 2021 season driving the #13 which is owned by Motorsports Business Management (Think Timmy Hill). At Charlotte when he drove for this team he was a moving chicane and finished 36th, 31 laps down. Look for Starr to be a mid-thirties driver at best. (Draftkings $4,800 / FanDuel $2,500 )
