Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – New Hampshire (2020)
Christopher Bell – Christopher Bell had a great car last year at New Hampshire, but he finished an asterisk mark 28th after having problems, twice! In the race, Bell started way back in 35th but finished 4th in Stage #1. In Stage #2 on lap 172 while running in 6th, Bell had his first problem. At that time he had a tire go down and spun. Bell was able to continue on from that, but then on lap 247 while running in the high-teens he had a flat tire and made an unexpected pit stop under green which dropped him two laps down. Just prior to his final problem, Bell told his team his car was really good.
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch likely had a great car last year at New Hampshire, but he only completed 15 laps before having a flat tire and crashing which led to his 38th place finish. In the race, Busch started 5th and at the time of his demise he was running in 6th.
Corey LaJoie – Last year at New Hampshire, Corey LaJoie finished 39 laps down in 35th. LaJoie wasn’t listed in any accidents so he obviously had problems under his hood or something along those lines which led to his poor result. In terms of speed by segment, LaJoie raced in every single quarter of the race and his speed rankings in them were 27th, 28th, 20th and 25th. On lap 140 which is the last running order time stamp from the Scouting Report prior to him completely nose diving in the running order he was running 29th.
