Martin Truex Jr. felt really good about his long run speed heading into the race (He ranked #1 in terms of speed late in a run).

Chase Elliott who started on the pole led the opening 22 laps. In total he led 80 of the 90 laps.

Notable: On lap 2, Kyle Busch spun. He quickly recovered but was now back in 10th. He was racing William Byron for 2nd at the time. Busch appeared to have no damage.

Notable: On lap 8 while running in 11th, Aric Almirola told his team his shifter was about ready to break (It never broke).

With 3 laps to go in Stage #1 (Lap 17), quite a bit of the field came to pit road. Most of the front runners near the very front of the field stayed out.

William Byron had a lot of grass on his front grill on lap 19. Kyle Busch had contact with him when they were racing for position.

Big: During the Stage #1 caution, William Byron was going to show his displeasure with Kyle Busch (ran him into the grass) and ran into the back of Kyle Busch. Byron now had a ton of nose damage.

Race off pit road following the Stage #1 caution: 9,18,2,11,19,20,48,12,1,22

During the Stage #1 caution, William Byron pitted twice to repair damage.

Notable: During the Stage caution, Kyle Busch was caught speeding on pit road.

Big: On lap 38, Bubba Wallace hit the tire barrier and had quite a bit of damage. He was running in 18th at the time. This ended Stage #2.
