Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Michigan 2020 (Race #1 and #2)
Michigan Race #1
Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon was a top ten contender last year at Michigan in race #1, but he finished an asterisk mark 31st. In the race, Dillon was running in 10th on lap 150, but then four laps later he was involved in a multi-car wrecked that led to his misleading result. In the race, Dillon spent a good portion of time running in the top ten over the final Stage and his Total Speed Ranking was the 16th best.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – In race #1 2020, Stenhouse looked solid and was a low double-digit driver, but finished a clunker 32nd. In the race, Stenhouse finished 10th in Stage #1, around 13th in Stage #2 and was running in 12th at the start of overtime. Something happened to him in over-time, and whatever it was it wasn’t televised. For the afternoon, Stenhouse had a 13.6 average running position and his Total Speed Ranking was the 14th best.
Tyler Reddick – Tyler Reddick had an eventful race #1 last year at Michigan. In the race, Reddick made an early unscheduled pit stop around lap 25 for a tire issue while he was running around 6th which dropped him off the lead lap, and then later on lap 143 while he was around the high-teens he had contact with Preece. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 18th.
Cole Custer – Last year at Michigan in race #1, Cole Custer finished a dismal 34th after crashing late. In the race, Custer had the 18th best Total Speed Ranking and on lap 149 at the time of his demise he was running around 20th.
